Bravo Health Letter to Agents

Dear Agents,

AEP is fast approaching and it is imperative your agents do two things in order to sell Bravo Health:

1)     Visit www.medicareonlinetraining.com/bravohealth and recertify for 2011 AHIP

2)     Attend local face to face training session.

We also want to ensure our agents are giving compliant presentations. We are expecting CMS Secret Shoppers to resume their efforts starting October. I have attached Components of a Secret Shopper, a sales tool reviewing key elements that must be covered in order to score a 100% in another e-mail.

Common missed questions are:

1) Not filling out the Scope of Appointment Form prior to the appointment

2) Not reviewing annual election periods

3) Not informing how to dis-enroll during lock in periods

4) Not reviewing the formulary

I also attached the approved 2010 BRAVO SALES PRESENTATION in this e-mail. Following these slides will ensure a 100% score. Your local AE’s in your market are also available to review the components of a  secret shopper with your agents.

HealthSpring / Bravo and YOU

HealthSpring announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Medicare Advantage company, Bravo Health for $545 million in cash.  The deal will add 100,000 Medicare Advantage members to HealthSpring’s 297,000 members and will make HealthSpring the 7th largest Medicare Advantage plan based on membership.  In addition, HealthSpring will add Bravo’s 230,000 Part D members.

Bravo has a significant presence in the Philadelphia market and in Texas.  In addition, Bravo offers a number of Special Needs plans which allow members, in many cases, to enroll in their plans year round.

Many Bravo producers have seen this as an opportunity to contract and certify with HealthSpring even if HealthSpring is not currently in their normal marketing area so they will contracted with the surviving company.
